Akrotiri, Cyprus: A British Typhoon aircraft leaves Cyprus to join the U.S.-led coalition’s strikes against Yemen’s Houthi forces on January 11. The joint air and naval forces hit over 60 alleged targets at 16 sites. The strikes were in response to 27 Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea, an expression of Houthi support for Gaza. The Houthis pledge retaliation. At least five Houthi deaths have been recorded.
