Cataclysmic Quake

Wajima, Japan: A man on a scooter passes a collapsed high-rise building in the Ishikawa Prefecture on January 3, following the 7.6-magnitude earthquake that rocked the Noto Peninsula on New Year’s Day. More than 100 people have been reported dead and hundreds more are still missing from the quake and subsequent aftershocks in western Japan. Landslides, rain and falling snow are all hampering relief efforts.
