As part of an art installation by Brazilian artist Flavia Junqueira, the Gran Teatre del Liceu fills with 800 brightly colored balloons on October 11. By placing the balloons in historic places, such as the Palace of Santoña in Madrid and the Palace of Fontainebleau near Paris, the theater says the artist “creates delicate celebrations of impermanence” meant to take us back to our childhoods.
