F1 News: Red Bull Officially Confirms Adrian Newey Exit

Red Bull Racing has announced the departure of their chief technical officer, Adrian Newey. Credited with much of the team's success, Newey's exit marks the end of an era for the Austrian team.

Red Bull Racing confirmed today that Adrian Newey, the brain behind their multiple championship-winning cars, has left the team. Newey joined Red Bull Racing in 2006 and transformed the team into a dominant force in Formula One. Under his guidance, Red Bull clinched its first Constructors' title in 2010, followed by three more consecutive titles. His expertise not only supported Sebastian Vettel in earning four Drivers' Championships but also played a crucial role in the team's ongoing competitiveness in the hybrid era.

The transition from V8 engines to V6 turbo hybrids marked a challenging phase for Red Bull, primarily due to the less competitive power units from their engine partners. Despite these challenges, Newey's innovative design philosophy continued to influence the team's performance positively. His recent work on the RB18, RB19, and RB20 played a significant part in Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez's successes.

"He will remain involved in and committed to this exciting project until its completion. We'd like to thank Adrian for our achievements in the time that we have worked together so far. He has been instrumental for us in achieving a remarkable seven Formula One Drivers' and six Constructors' Championship titles - totalling 118 victories and 101 poles including the STR 2007 pole and victory."
