Republican Notices He's Missing From Fox News Iowa Results While in Studio

Vivek Ramaswamy's place in the polls isn't his campaign's only cause for frustration as the Iowa caucuses loom.

A distant fourth in pre-caucus polls behind front-runner Donald Trump, Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis, the business tycoon and Republican primary hopeful posted his disdain for a Fox News graphic on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday afternoon.

The graphic only listed the three candidates ahead of Ramaswamy, then he posted, "I was in the Fox News studio in Des Moines this morning and noticed something interesting: they forgot one candidate tonight. I'll trust them to fix it."

In the Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll released on Saturday, only 8 percent of likely Republican caucus voters in the state say Ramaswamy is their first choice for president.

Newsweek reached out to the Ramaswamy campaign via email for additional comments.

Despite his standing in Iowa behind the other candidates, Ramaswamy hasn't been completely out of the spotlight leading up to the caucuses.

On Saturday, the 38-year-old from Ohio came under what he called "friendly fire" from Trump via the former president's Truth Social account.

Trump wrote, "Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, 'the best President in generations,' etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks. Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the 'other side'—don't get duped by this."

On Monday, Trump continued his attacks on Truth Social, "A vote for Vivek is a wasted vote," Trump wrote in all caps. "I like Vivek, but he played it too 'cute' with us. Caucus tonight, vote for Donald J. Trump, build up the numbers!!!"

Newsweek reached out to the Trump campaign via email for additional comments.

Trump's attacks follow Ramaswamy sharing a photo on X of himself in Iowa with six supporters wearing T-shirts reading, "Save Trump. Vote Vivek."

Just hours later, the biotech entrepreneur defended himself and his loyalty to Trump.

He commented: "Yes, I saw President Trump's Truth Social post. It's an unfortunate move by his campaign advisors, I don't think friendly fire is helpful. Donald Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century, and I'm not going to criticize him in response to this late attack."
