Owner Captures Cat's 3AM 'Concert' on the Pet Cam

Cats love staying awake at night, doing all sorts of weird things. Have you ever wondered where this behavior comes from?

One cat owner has left the internet in stitches after catching her cat having a "casual concert" in the middle of the night.

In a video shared on TikTok on Tuesday by @nimbus_siberian, the fluffy feline can be seen through the pet cam in the room, jumping on his owner's bed as she lies sound asleep next to him, energetically making biscuits and looking like a crazy pianist during a concert.

The hilarious clip, which quickly went viral on the platform, comes with a caption that says: "Nimbus at 3 am." Followed by: "Casual concert in between zoomies."

Cats stay awake at night for many reasons, like their natural hunting instincts or their owner's busy day schedule.

However, there are ways you can help your cat adapt to a different routine and regulate their sleep in order to avoid night zoomies.

RSPCA Knowledge Base explains that you can gradually try to alter the cat's schedule by encouraging playtime and feeding during the daytime and earlier evening hours so that the cat's schedule more closely matches that of the humans in the household. You can do this by offering smaller but more frequent meals and by feeding the evening meals at a different time.

"Owners can feed a meal earlier in the evening and then another meal closer to bedtime. This way the cat is less likely to wake their owners for a meal during the night," the website says.

The video quickly went viral on TikTok, so far receiving over 4.9 million views and 1.1 million likes on the platform.

One user, "I love my mom and him," commented: "Why do cats make biscuits."

Commenter Joanna said: "My male cat does the same thing late at night, but I found out the hard way that once he started using back paws....he was....uhm...getting off."

Tiktoker Vanessa wrote: "That is the biggest batch of biscuits I've ever seen."

Heather Schmitt said: "The part where he laid down but continued to biscuit, we love a dedicated king."

Another user, Ryan, commented: "I will recommend watching this again at 2x speed. Trust me."
