Monday night football comes to Chicago for NFL week 2 action tonight, featuring two hopeful teams off to frustrating starts who want to get win number one: It's the Seattle Seahawks vs. Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago.

These teams haven't met since 2015. Both are 0-1 to start the 2018 season, losing close games that were winnable. The Seahawks lost to the Broncos 27-24, while the Bears lost to the Packers 24-23. It's hard to imagine that a week 2 game has such importance, but since both teams will be fighting for a playoff berth this year – the Seahawks are ranked No. 21 in this week's AP Pro32 power ranking while the Bears are ranked No. 22 – tonight's Monday night matchup has plenty on the line.

Bears vs. Seahawks

Time: 8:15 p.m. ET

TV Channel: ESPN

Live stream: WatchESPN.com

Odds: Bears -4.5; over/under 43

Prediction from nj.com: "The Bears had a soul-crushing loss to the Packers on Sunday night, but they have the roster construction to bounce back. Now a porous Seahawks offensive line will have to deal with Khalil Mack. As the kidnapper said in 'Taken' .... good luck. Bears 21, Seahawks 10."

The Bears have struggled in recent years, with our straight last-place finishes in the NFC North, but approached 2018 with a different attitude and confidence. Week 1's hard loss at Green Bay, when a win seemed at hand, was a hard hit, however. But it's the NFL and the only thing to do is learn from the experience, lace the shoes back up, and go back at it again.

"That kind of makes it tougher, too, because you know how much you put into it and how close you came," guard Kyle Long said, according to the AP. "It was in reach, well within reach. But at the end of the day, you've got to move on."

Seattle had a similar experience, dropping a close game to the Broncos that was more than winnable.

"It was really an enormous missed opportunity for us to do something special and get that win," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said.

Seattle will feature a new defensive player, with linebacker Mychal Kendricks scheduled to play Monday night against the Chicago Bears despite his pending jail sentence, according to the AP.

Kendricks arrived in Seattle this week and due to injuries at linebacker – both starters are out – he gets the start.

"The background that he has and the instincts that he has and he's been coached really well over the years, he really has a chance to pick it up really quickly and get in there and help us," Carroll said."
