TikTok is awash with creators performing pranks on unsuspecting victims, however one man in a recent viral video didn't find his involvement very amusing.
In the footage, shared to the app by an account called Rezaandpuja, a woman can be seen adding salt to some chai tea to give to her father-in-law.
The clip, which has been viewed a whopping 4.3 million times since it was posted on September 24, starts with Puja, who describes herself as an "Indian babe," filling a spoon of hot tea with salt.
Text overlaying the video, which can be watched here, then reads: "Giving my father in law EXTREMELY SALTY TEA PRANK [laughing-face emoji]."
She then walks over with the teaspoon asking the middle-aged man: "Can you check if there's enough sugar in this?"
The woman hand him the spoon to taste and he immediately drops his phone, exclaiming: "What is this?!"
Puja asks him what he means, and the man responds: "What did you put? Beta [daughter] It's salt I think..."
When the prankster assures him its sugar, her father-in-law protests: "Maybe it's in the cup, or something in the milk? The powder? What did you put in chai?"
She tries to deny its salt, but he then pleads with her, saying: "No mere bacha [my baby] no... it's a salt."
The man's son, whose name is Reja, is covertly filming the scene and he bursts out laughing: "It's a prank. We got you boy!"
His father then explodes, shouting: "Everything is to you TikTok TikTok! Idiot! Get a life!"
Rezaandpuja captioned the video, writing: "This poor guy came back from a 12hr work day and was NOT happy [nervous-face emoj]."
They also added the hashtags: "#prankingdad #prankwars #chai #desitiktok #browntiktok #prank."
The hilarious video has gone viral, having already been liked a staggering 637,100 times.
