Dog Sitting on Owner's Lap During Flight Melts Hearts: 'Coming Home'

A dog named Enzo has gone viral on social media after his owner shared a video of him enjoying his flight home after the end of their vacation.

In a video shared on TikTok earlier in August by the dog's owner, under the username enzos.escapades, the Italian greyhound can be seen enjoying his flight on his owner's lap, looking relaxed as his owner pets him.

The video, which has so far been viewed more than 390,000 times and liked over 47,700 times, comes with a caption that reads: "Vacation is over—we are coming home ❤️"

According to Dogtime, Italian greyhounds are quite easygoing dogs and very affectionate with their owners, family, children and strangers.

Italian greyhounds don't shed much and are quite easy to groom, and they're fairly easy to train and quite intelligent creatures. Their energy levels are very high, and so is their potential for playfulness.

They are medium-sized companion dogs, with a height of about 13 to 15 inches tall at the shoulder. They weigh between 6 and 15 pounds, and their life span is usually 14 to 15 years.

Not all airlines allow dogs on board, though, and some allow let travel only in the cargo area. Newsweek has put together a list of airlines that permit dogs on board, including fees and terms.

Among the airlines that allow dogs on board there are American Airlines, United Airlines, Southern Airlines, Delta Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Alaska Airlines, Virgin American Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Frontier Airlines.

Most users loved the dog, and how chill he was during the flight. One user, Noelia said: "Lovely! Dogs aren't allowed to fly in cabin to/from UK, so I don't travel much anymore as I refuse to fly mine as cargo. They're family, not luggage!"

Benjiblue wrote: "Omg stunning." And Miranda..... Added: "Those teeff, so adorable...."

Etihad, which was the company the dog was using to fly back home, also got involved in the comments, saying: "This moment couldn't get any more pawwwwfect."

Flossy glossy commented: "Such a lucky dog, and he is so happy to be with you. Just gorgeous." And luli added: "Oh but how lovely to have them on your lap."

Kikay Paez wrote: "awwww so cute..I want to hug him .." while Theolover686 commented: "So well behaved."

Newsweek reached out to enzos.escapades for comment. We could not verify the details of the case.
