This week's Pet of the Week winner is MilliePi, an adventurous and talented rescue dog who loves to ride her skateboard.

Living in Colorado with owner Janet Sellers, MilliePi has always loved to stay active. But there is one particular past time she loves more than anything—skateboarding.

"She started skateboarding at 8 weeks, just standing on the skateboard or sitting on the exercise ball in the living room to keep busy during snowstorms outside," Sellers told Newsweek.

What began as a playful distraction soon turned into a serious hobby for the pup. "[The] big breakthrough was instead of just hitting the living room wall to stop, she turned around and went the other way," Sellers added.

It isn't just skateboarding MilliePi is good at either, she has also learned to do other tasks including retrieving dropped items and fetching pen and paper. She has also displayed a remarkable aptitude for learning names.

Finalists

Morwyn the cat

Our first finalist this week is 12-year-old rescue cat Morwyn who likes to dress up and hang out with other animals.

"I got the baby ballerina onesie after she came out of the bedroom wearing my underwear," owner H.E. Ellis told Newsweek. "She loves dogs but is sad because her boyfriend, Gizmo, a 6-pound long haired chihuahua moved out of state."

An important part of the family, Ellis hopes to make Morwyn a service animal, so that she can help detect his nephew's seizures.

Blossom the dog

Next up this week is Blossom, a 7-year-old rescue dog who lives in South Carolina with owner Lourdes Deets.

A beagle mix, she came to Deets from the local shelter and loves to eat, sleep and play with other dogs.

"Blossom has the most beautiful eyes, she is very gentle and humble," Deets told Newsweek. "I love that she comes to me for head rubs, she is also very social likes to play with other dogs no matter their size."

When she isn't socializing, Blossom likes to spend time with her owner: "She likes going for car rides specially to get French fries. She also likes going to pet stores," Deets added.

Luna and Zoe

Last up this week is pit bull and Akita mix Luna and Shiba Inu Zoe. The canine pair live in New York with their owner Julie Rudd and are the best of friends.

"They love looking out the window for squirrels. My favorite thing is how loving and protective they are," Rudd told Newsweek. "And obviously they love each other."
