COPENHAGEN, DENMARK An elephant in a zoo cools down under a spray of water on July 20 as a record-setting heat wave sweeps over northern Europe. Across the continent, wild and domesticated animals are dealing with the repercussions of high temperatures, as wildfires rage and water sources dry up. One zoo in La Teste-de-Buch, France reported a dozen animals dying from heat and stress, and 363 others were moved to a zoo in Bordeaux-Pessac.
