Cape Canaveral, Florida The privately-owned SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with the manned Crew Dragon spacecraft attached takes off from launch pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center on May 30 in a joint venture with NASA. In SpaceX’s first crewed mission, NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are the first astronauts to take off into space from U.S. soil since the Space Shuttle program ended in 2011.
