Hot in Here Protesters take to the streets in the UK on September 20 as part of Global Climate Strikes, which were largely inspired by 16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg. Organizers say 4 million people on every continent—including scientists in Antarctica—took part. Independent researchers who documented the 2017 Women’s March are working to create their own estimates of how many people took action against climate change policies around the world.
