Today's 'Wordle' #962 Clues and Answer for Tuesday, February 6 Puzzle

Some days we breeze through the Wordle puzzle, but other times we all struggle a little bit.

That's why Newsweek is on hand to help you solve today's puzzle with a series of tips, and eventually the answer if you are really having trouble.

First released to the public in October 2021, Wordle became a phenomenon thanks not only to its simplicity but the fact people love sharing their results and talking about the daily puzzle.

Its premise is simple enough, every day at midnight a new five-letter word appears on the website or app and you have six attempts to try and guess it.

You're helped out along the way with color-coded tiles. Green means a correct letter, while yellow tells you the letter appears in the word but is just in the wrong spot. Finally, a gray tile shows that letter does not appear in the word at all.

"S" is the most common starting letter, with more than 15 percent of players using this letter first. It's a good choice too, as there are 167 more words that begin with S than any other in the game—365 in total. In second place is the letter C at 8 percent, with B the third most popular choice at 7 percent, according to word-finder website WordsRated,

The answer to today's Wordle puzzle is "Which."

Merriam-Webster defines it as an adjective which means "being what one or ones out of a group" and also as noun modifier.

Which can also be used as a pronoun, used as an interrogative such as, "which Wordle was hardest for you this week?"

How many tries did it take for you to guess today's answer? Wordle players typically solve the daily puzzles on their fourth try, according to Wordsrated.
