Woman Trying to Work From Home With a Puppy Goes Exactly as Expected

A social-media video that depicts what working from home with a playful puppy is like has delighted viewers across the internet.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 4.5 million times since it was first shared to TikTok on January 11. The clip introduced viewers to Molly the 9-month-old golden retriever and the mischief she causes while her owner is working from home. The pup and her owner live in Newcastle, northeast England.

Viewers are shown the puppy continuously trying to tempt her owner into a game of fetch with a tennis ball, while it is implied that her owner is swamped with tasks at her work-from-home desk. To make matters worse, the pup's choice of toy lets out a rather loud squeak.

Most pet owners are so attached to their animals that they would be keen to take them everywhere, even to the office, and they revel in the new phenomenon of remote working. Well, research has suggested that taking your dog to the office with you, or working from home with them by your side, isn't such a bad thing.

The benefits of working with dogs close by are countless, and they range from reduced stress levels to a boost in motivation.

"[Point of view] trying to work from home with a puppy," the dog's owner says in the video. The post has been captioned: "Her face at the end. Bonus points if you can hear me trying not to laugh and completely failing."
