Woman Sets Up Birthday Surprise for Her Dog, His Reaction Is Priceless

While most of the time pets appreciate what their owners do for them, one dog might have set the bar a little too high.

In a February 17 TikTok video posted by user @memydoodsandi, a dog was totally unimpressed with his surprise birthday party. The owner explained in the video that the party was scheduled to be outside with an agility course, but that idea was snowed out.

She shifted gears and decided to decorate the house for her 5-year-old goldendoodle, which kept her up until 2 a.m. He came out of the room to balloons and a birthday sign. The balloon continued down the stairs, leading him to the living room where she placed his new ball pit.

However, all he worried about was where the rest of his toys were. The caption reads, "I should have got more balls."

He was most excited when he spotted his blanket, which he picked up immediately and brought to his owner with his tail wagging.

The owner also made dog-friendly cupcakes for his birthday, which she tried giving to him in a separate video, but she wasn't able to let go; otherwise, he would've dove head-first into the peanut butter bacon treat.

Newsweek reached out to @memydoodsandi via TikTok for comment.

Hopefully, this cozy goldendoodle will be rolling around in his ball pit soon, just as many other dogs have done before. Pet owners have been flocking to this trend, due to it being both downright adorable and beneficial for dogs.

The playpen-like atmosphere of a ball pit gives dogs entertainment while stimulating their minds and encouraging physical fitness. According to dog collar company Fi, this can be especially useful for high-energy dogs. The varied textures and colors stimulate a dog's curiosity and intellect.

Dogs also get a full-body workout and decreased stress levels from all the running, jumping, and digging in the ball pit. It's an excellent option for releasing energy when outdoor play might not be possible due to inclement weather.

'Dogs Are the New Kids'

The TikTok video had over 1.2 million views, 199,300 likes, and nearly 600 comments. People were obsessing about how this dog owner went above and beyond to give her fur baby the best birthday ever.

"I love that dogs are the new kids," wrote a viewer.

Another added: "This is exactly how you treat your fur babies. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!"

A third person said: "Of course i throw parties for my dogs, I'm a millennial."
