Woman Shares Simple Trick She's Discovered to Be More Confident Every Day

Confidence can often feel like a fleeting commodity, one that is hard to pin down or reserved for a select few. Yet, Ani B, a content creator from Los Angeles, who is known as @anibaaaby on TikTok, has mastered the art of turning everyday encounters into opportunities to exude self-assurance and universal appeal.

Her TikTok video, where she advocates for the power of eye contact in boosting self-confidence, has resonated widely and amassed more than 438,000 views and over 61,000 likes since it was shared to the platform on February 21.

"One thing that's instantly gonna make you a more attractive person is just by simply making eye contact with people everywhere you go," the creator said in the viral clip.

"When I go to the gym or I'm walking in a crowded place, I'll keep my head up high or I'll look people in their eyes and smile at them. If I'm walking past somebody, I smile at them, even if they don't smile back. If you want to be more confident and less anxious everywhere you go, make it a challenge for yourself to keep the head up."

Ani B elaborated on the practice of maintaining eye contact, whether it be at the gym or while navigating a large crowd, and emphasized this subtle acknowledgment of passersby as being a sign of confidence.

"Do not look down at the floor. Do not pull out your phone if you're nervous. Just look people in the eye and acknowledge their existence," she added.

Ani B said that her anxiety-busting hack, which she delivered while sat inside her car in Orange County, is not only about attractiveness but also about cultivating a mindset of openness and self-confidence.

While the lifestyle creator's advice has landed particularly well with her follower base, some viewers have shared that they will still struggle to put it into practice.

"I've done this and it's so fun to watch them blush," one user wrote.

Another added: "I have horrible dark circles and eye bags, don't wanna scare them off."

"I walk head up high at the gym but don't wear my glasses when I go," a different user shared.

Another commented: "I can't smile normally when I'm nervous."

Ani B has over 150,000 followers on TikTok, where she often shares beauty and lifestyle insights.
