Woman Asks Internet To 'Watch' Her Boyfriend, Not Prepared for What He Does

Is the Internet a reliable babysitter?

People on TikTok are trying to find out with a viral trend, and one video in particular is winning hearts. A video posted by Anna Muller (@annaboebana) went viral after she tried the "watch my boyfriend" trend—which involves leaving one's boyfriend in the "care" of a recording phone camera—and came back to find he had shared fun facts with the Internet while she was gone.

Since Muller's video was posted, it has received over 920,000 likes and over 6,300 comments from appreciative viewers.

"I have to grab something really quick, could you guys watch my boyfriend for me?" Muller asked in the video, and then left the room.

Her boyfriend seemed confused at first, but didn't take long to fill the silence: "Okay, um, random fun facts for you," he said.

"Did you know that the color of hydrangeas is dependent on the soil that they're in? Ants don't have lungs. Most ginger cats, or orange cats are males. Um, Cookie Monster's real name is Sid."

Muller didn't leave him for too long, but he did get four fun facts out in the span of less than 1 minute. After she came back in the room, she asked the camera how her boyfriend "was" while she was gone, mimicking a mother asking a babysitter about their child's behavior.

When her boyfriend told her he offered fun facts, Muller, and viewers in the comments, were absolutely smitten.

"This is my favorite video on the internet right now," @radiantlyali wrote.

"He was very well-behaved and well-mannered and even shared some really cool fun facts with us," @alicianorton6 wrote, playing into the role. "I enjoyed watching him, I'd gladly watch him again anytime!"

Many were also clamoring for more: "Petition for 'Babysitting Cameron: Fun facts' to become a series," @_n_i_k_k_i_e_ wrote.

"Give him back the phone right now!" @disney.queen29 wrote. "I need more fun facts. Plus, watching him was so much fun, so when do we get more fun facts? Asking for a friend, you know?"

The "Watch My Boyfriend" trend comes up with 272 million posts on TikTok when entered into the search bar.

Muller's videos are pushing the trend along in a substantial way—she has responded to calls for more "watch my boyfriend" content with six follow-up videos. One of them, posted only one week ago, racked up 3.2 million views.

But the tables might be turning. On Muller's most recent video, her sixth installment, one person wrote: "Now, I'm thinking, maybe he is babysitting us?"
