What's New With iTunes: A User Guide

Yesterday you probably saw a bunch of articles about DRM and label-set price points and other major changes to iTunes that have been in the works since January, and came into effect on April 7. Understanding the new price-point system is fairly straight forward—Apple's negotiations with record labels have led to three new tiers, from $.69 (oldies mostly), $.99 (older hits, generally) and $1.29 (new, hot music). But how to understand what the rescinding of DRM means? A bit more complicated.
