Video of Woman Finding 5 Puppies Under Deck Goes Viral: 'What Should I Do?'

A social media video of a woman discovering five surviving puppies and their mom living below the deck on her porch has stunned viewers across the internet.

The viral video, which has been viewed by more than 1.9 million users since it was shared to TikTok on November 8, captured the woman's delight at finding the majority of the litter alive and well under her deck.

Jolee, who goes by @SocialJMedia on TikTok, called on her fellow TikTokers to send her advice on how she could best look after the puppies.

"I found puppies underneath my deck! What should I do? Does anyone have advice to take care of these pups? Drop tips in the comments please," Jolee wrote under the post.

The video shows the woman lifting up her wooden deck to reveal the group of five small pups and their mom burrowed in a hole underneath the ground. Sadly, two other puppies had passed away before Jolee could get to them.

The puppies were then shown being pulled, one by one, to safety before their mum was lifted by hand to a soft blanket as well. The woman said in a voiceover narration that the rescue procedure took hours and required the help of her cousins, who later ended up taking in the puppies for good.

"I'm not sure who's dog this is who decided to have babies under my porch, but I guess she thought this was a great spot," she added.

The video's creator shared that the dogs were all taken to a warm place so that they could feed. She updated viewers in a second post that can be seen here, that the dogs were all taken to a veterinary center to be checked.

The adult dog was discovered to be without a microchip and as a result could not be traced to an owner, but Jolee reassured viewers that someone has offered to look after the dog until she's claimed by her last owner.

What Do the Comments Say?

Since it was shared to the social media platform on November 8 by @SocialJMedia, the TikTok post has been liked by over 183,000 people and commented on more than 400 times.

One user asked: "Are you selling them?"

"Giving them to friends and family for free," the video's creator responded.

"Thank you for saving them," a different TikToker wrote.
