Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Game-Day Sign Goes Viral

Taylor Swift's attendance at boyfriend Travis Kelce's NFL games often excites fans—and now a sign trying to get her attention on Saturday night has gone viral.

Swift has attended several Kansas City Chiefs fixtures this season amid her romance with the team's tight end. During Kansas City's 26-7 win over the Miami Dolphins in sub-zero temperatures on January 13, Swift was spotted dancing in Travis Kelce's suit alongside his mom, Donna Kelce, and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

It was the fourth-coldest game in NFL history and shattered the record for the coldest game in Arrowhead Stadium history. The kickoff temperature was minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit, according to NBC, with a wind chill of minus 26 degrees. That didn't stop fans from turning up in snow pants and ski goggles to enjoy the game—and one clever sign from a Swift fan has impressed the internet.

It read, "It's colder than Taylor's reaction to Jo Koy," and a post sharing a photo of the sign on X, formerly Twitter, had been viewed more than 570,000 times at the time of writing. "THIS SIGN?! SCREAMING," the original poster wrote.

Newsweek reached out to Swift's publicist via email for comment Monday.

People online are loving the banner, with many taking to the comments section of the post to share their thoughts.

"Okay this was great," one person wrote alongside a laugh-crying emoji.

"Best one of the night," posted another, while a third added: "This made me laugh so hard!!!!!"

"This is hilarious," a fourth person wrote.

The sign referenced not only the Arctic temperatures at Saturday's game but also Swift's less-than-impressed reaction to a joke made by Koy at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, California, on January 7.

Koy, who was hosting the Hollywood awards ceremony for the first time, was panned by many who were watching the show at home. Several of his jokes fell flat with the live audience of celebrities and nominees in attendance, too, and the comedian appeared to leave Swift unhappy when he cracked a joke about her romance with Kelce.

"The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift," Koy said on the stage, in reference to the incessant coverage of the singer's presence at games. When the camera cut to Swift, she looked stone-faced while taking a sip of her drink.

Koy has since defended the joke, and in an interview with the Los Angeles Times published on January 11, the 52-year-old said he has been surprised by the negative reactions it received. A representative for Koy didn't respond to a comment request from Newsweek via email Friday.

Koy said he thought it was obvious that he was directing his joke at the NFL, not Swift.

"But the whole intention of that joke was to make fun of the NFL," Koy told the publication. "What hurts the most is me just supporting Taylor, I support her, I love her work. I got nieces that I bought tickets for. There's no ill intent in that joke. The joke is about the NFL and how they keep using cutaways to [her]."

Koy added: "I'm not saying anything that no one's saying, and it's obvious what that joke was."

The discourse surrounding the joke didn't seem to be on Swift's mind on Saturday night. At one point, she was snapped leaning out of the window of Travis Kelce's suite to wave to the fans sat around her and even high-five them as they celebrated the Chiefs scoring a touchdown.

Swift was also seen celebrating the Chiefs' 26-7 win over the Dolphins before she was filmed holding hands with Travis Kelce as they left the stadium together after midnight.

Swift caused a sensation when she was first spotted at a Chiefs game on September 24 alongside Travis Kelce's mother and was seen jumping up and cheering after he scored a touchdown.

In an interview with Time, Swift revealed she first started dating Kelce in July after he attended one of her concerts. She said: "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date."

The pop sensation has attended numerous games since.
