Caitlin Clark's Stardom Causes Final Four Tickets to Skyrocket

There might not be a bigger star in basketball right now than Iowa Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark. Clark's story of resilience and dedication has caused a shockwave in highlighting women's college basketball.

She is joined by fellow stars like LSU's Angel Reese, UConn's Paige Bueckers, and USC's JuJu Watkins. The popularity of the NCAAW division has been in the spotlight, and everyone has been tuning in to the action.

The Elite Eight matchup between the LSU Tigers and Iowa Hawkeyes drew 12.3 million viewers, resulting in it being the highest-viewed game in sports last year, excluding NFL coverage. To put this in perspective, the Nielsen ratings have revealed the Iowa vs LSU game beat out every 2023 NBA Finals game except one, and the entire 2023 World Series.

The stardom of Clark is undeniable, and people are now flocking to the Final Four matchup to see her take on Bueckers and UConn. According to a report by CNN via StubHub, the average price for a ticket to see Clark in the Final Four is an average of $726, which also beats out the men's Final Four, which is around $710.

According to data from Ticketmaster, the cheapest ticket for the Women's Final Four is $395, with the most expensive being a whopping $3,875. People want to see Clark play in her final NCAA season.

Clark announced at the end of February that she would be declaring for the WNBA Draft, which many already predicted given her historic final season with the Hawkeyes.

Considering this is her final season with the Hawkeyes, people are chomping at the bit to see her. The ticket prices have only gone up since Clark dropped 41 points to lead her team to a victory over LSU.

LSU and star Angel Reese got the better of Iowa last season in the National Championship, but April 1 belonged to Clark and Iowa. With UConn also being a highly-touted team, Friday's matchup should be just as exciting.

Clark has become a national hero and inspiration to many people and has led many to start paying more attention to women's college basketball. Also, after dropping 41 points against LSU, it might be time to see her play live.

While the expectation is not to drop thousands of dollars for a ticket, something along $400 might be more feasible for those wanting to see the final NCAA plays from Clark. Should Iowa blow past UConn, the NCAA Championship tickets might start at a thousand dollars. That is just speculation though.
