'Super Fluffy' Corgi Puppy's Reaction to First Time Seeing Snow

A puppy's reaction to seeing snow for the first time has melted the hearts of Internet users.

In a viral Reddit video shared by owner user u/juicy_fruity89, Margo, the corgi, can be seen prancing around the backyard covered in snow.

The adorable dog has been compared to a bunny as she hops across the snow making tiny footprints along the way.

The clip is captioned: "First time in snow!" It boasts over 12,000 votes since it was shared on Thursday.

In the comments, the owner said: "She was covered in snow by the time we got her to come inside."

But playing in the snow isn't all fun and games. It is important for owners to keep their canines warm and safe when outside. The following safety measures have been recommended by the American Kennel Club:

  • To avoid frostbite, limit your dog's time outside.
  • Wrap your dog up in a sturdy winter coat for walks.
  • Look after your dog's paws as the cold conditions can cause damage—perhaps invest in some dog boots.
  • Keep the hair on their feet well-trimmed as long hair can form ice balls.
  • Avoid thin ice.

The American Kennel Club advises owners to consider their dog's age as young and older canines find it harder to regulate their temperature. In this case, Margo seems to be handling the extreme weather change well.

The owner commented: "We just moved up north from Florida, so a big change! But they're loving it so much."

The video also features two golden retrievers who seem to be approaching the snow with a much more laid-back approach. Butter and Bailey can be seen sniffing the ground while wagging their tails unlike Margo who can barely contain her excitement.

One user pointed out: "The goldens look stoked, they already know the snow and are so excited it's back!"

"Mine gets little ice balls in his toes, comes inside to clean them off and is right back to it! Dogs playing in snow is just pure unbridled happiness," said another.

There seemed to be some confusion about Margo's breed as some users thought she was really a bunny. But in the comments, the owner states she is "just super fluffy."

Recently, one owner explained why his pregnant dog was sleeping outside in the snow rather than next to her canine companions in the heated house.
