Prince Harry Has Watched Obscure Early Meghan Markle Movie

Prince Harry said that he has watched a Meghan Markle movie in which she appears in only one scene, when he met the director at an awards gala.

The Duke of Sussex was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation hall of fame during a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Los Angeles on Friday.

Among guests, he met Matthew Cole Weiss, 44, who directed the 2006 made-for-TV movie Deceit, in which Meghan appears in only one scene.

However, according to Weiss, Harry has seen the film, which suggests he has done an extensive search through his wife's back catalogue from her days as an actress.

Weiss wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Got to have a full convo with Prince Harry. Super sweet. He knew of the movie I directed starring Meghan! Said he watched it before." Weiss later added that the film was "admittedly not my best work but still. It is the film that made me stop directing though lol [laugh out loud]."

Meghan is most famous for her role in Suits, in which she played para-legal Rachel Zane, but, before landing her big break, she played a series of other roles.

As early as 14, Meghan had her acting debut in 1995 as an extra in the sitcom Married With Children, on which her dad, Thomas Markle, was responsible for the lighting.

The duchess was also in CSI: Miami, CSI: NY and 90210, as well as being a "briefcase girl" in Deal or No Deal.

Meghan's character in Deceit was called Gwen, though she was not one of the key protagonists.

A summary on IMDB describes the film as a psychological thriller comparable to the Sharon Stone movie Basic Instinct.

A plot synopsis on the Amazon listing for the movie reads: "After his father's sudden death, Dave Ford returns home with his girlfriend to attend the funeral.

"There he reunites with former best friends Emily and Brian Nicholson, now married and very wealthy. They offer to help Dave fix up his father's house and their friendship is instantly rekindled.

"But when Emily and Brian's unstable relationship turns violent, Emily runs to Dave for protection. Despite warnings from an old friend that Emily may not be who she appears to be, Dave can no longer resist his feelings for her," the synopsis adds.

"But the truth unravels, friendships are destroyed and jealousy explodes as Dave finds himself tangled up in a deadly game with no way out."

It has a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 42 percent and starred Emmanuelle Chriqui, Matt Long and Luke Mably.
