The Powerball Lottery for Wednesday, February 9, has been drawn, with a jackpot of $158 million up for grabs.
This time, the winning numbers were 02, 17, 33, 51 and 63. The all-important red Powerball was 15 and the Power Play multiplier was 2x, allowing you to potentially double your winnings.

Looking at this page for Wednesday, February 9, we can see that nobody won the Powerball jackpot, meaning that the prize money will be rolled over into Sunday's upcoming draw.
Powerball 2/9/2022 Results
While nobody got the top prize for February 9, a North Carolina resident did successfully match all five white balls, earning them a total of $1 million. This player did not opt-in for the 2X Power Play multiplier and so their winnings were not doubled on this occasion.
Some 12 lottery entrants managed to correctly guess four white balls and the red power ball, which is worth $50,000. The winners in this tier were scattered across the United States, hailing from California, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas. Out of this group, two elected to buy the multiplier and so won $100,000 instead.
229 players managed to pick four white-ball numbers without the red Powerball. Each of them won $100, except for the ones who doubled their prize money via a multiplier bonus (of whom there were 84).
523 players got three white balls and the Powerball, netting them $100 as well. Out of this group, 145 people chose to bump up their prize money with the Power Play option.
For the lower prizes, 14,868 lottery entrants managed to guess three white ball numbers and 12,120 matched two white balls and the red ball. In both cases, these players were awarded $7 (or $14 with the Power Play multiplier).
At the bottom of the list were the 312,717 people who claimed a $4 prize. To earn this amount, you had to draw either a single white ball and the Powerball or just the latter on its own.
The next Powerball game will take place on Sunday, February 13, with an estimated jackpot prize of $172 million and a cash value of $117.3 million.

How to Play the Powerball Lottery
Powerball tickets can be bought in 45 states, as well as in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. They cost $2 each.
If you choose to enter the lottery, then you will need to pick six lucky numbers in total, five of which are for the regular white balls and one for the red Powerball. The white numbers can be anything between one and 69, while the Powerball will be between one and 26. You can select the numbers yourself on a play slip or allow the lottery terminal to do it on your behalf.
The Power Play is an optional extra (costing $1 per game) that allows you to potentially increase your winnings. The multiplier can boost your winnings by two, three, four, five or even 10 times their original amount (this is randomly decided at the start of each draw).

As you can see from the above, all the prizes are fixed cash amounts, except for the Grand Prize, which alternates in value based on ticket sales and whether or not anyone has claimed it recently.
Should you win the jackpot, then you can either accept it as a lump sum or you can receive it via annuity payments that are spread out over the course of 29 years. A similar choice is presented to those who win the Mega Millions lottery.
What Are the Odds of Winning the Powerball Lottery?
According to the Powerball website, the odds of winning any prize whatsoever in this lottery are one in 24.87. Meanwhile, the odds of winning that elusive jackpot grand prize are one in 292 million.
