A $73 million jackpot featured in the latest Powerball lottery, held on Wednesday, March 2.
In terms of the winning numbers here, the regular white balls were drawn as "19", "37", "48", "61" and "63". Meanwhile, the special red Powerball was "12".
The Power Play was set as 2X, meaning that winners had a chance to potentially double their earnings if they opted in for this multiplier bonus.
Did Anyone Win the Powerball Jackpot?
There is a section on the official Powerball website, entitled "Total Winners", which gives you a rundown of previous lottery results. Here, you can find out how many people won in each different prize tier and if any of them used the Power Play bonus.
When looking at the designated table for March 2, you will notice that not a single player managed to correctly guess all five white ball numbers and the red Powerball in the same ticket. This means that the unclaimed jackpot money will roll over into the next draw, taking place on Sunday, March 6, when the estimated jackpot will be $85 million.

Nobody matched the five white ball numbers (even without the red ball) either, meaning that the second most valuable prize of $1 million was also unclaimed.
However, five players did manage to guess four of the white balls and the red Powerball, which is worth $50,000. The winners in this tier were from the states of California, Florida, New York and Virginia.
In all, 148 lottery entrants got four white balls on their own, netting them a sum of $100 each. From this group, 44 people doubled their earnings with the Power Play multiplier.
A total of 380 players matched three white balls and the Powerball. Each of them is entitled to $100, but 129 of them also used the Power Play option and so boosted their earnings.
As for the lower-tier prizes, a total of 17,450 people won $7 (by either guessing three white balls on their own, or a combination of two white balls and the red Powerball).
Finally, 235,411 players are eligible for a $4 prize, as they managed to get the Powerball on its own or with a single white ball.
How To Play the Powerball Lottery
Powerball lottery tickets can be purchased for $2 in all states except for Nevada, Alaska, Alabama, Utah, and Hawaii. They are also available to buy in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Once you have got a ticket, you can then pick your six lucky numbers. There are five regular white balls that you need to match (these can be anything between one and 69), as well as the all-important red Powerball (which must fall between one and 26).
You will also have the option of paying an extra $1 when buying your lottery ticket, allowing you to benefit from the Power Play bonus. This is a special multiplier that can increase your winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times the original amount.
The extent of this multiplier is selected randomly at the start of each draw. For instance, on February 28 the Power Play was set at 2X but a couple of days before that it was 3X.

The amount you win in the Powerball is determined by how many numbers you guessed correctly and in what combination. The criterion for each prize is listed in the table below.

While most of the Powerball prizes are fixed amounts, the jackpot fluctuates in value based on how many tickets were sold and when the last person won.
Should you be lucky enough to win this grand prize, you then get to decide if you want to take it as a lump sum or in annuity payments spread over 29 years. A similar option is presented to those who win the Mega Millions lottery.
The next Powerball lottery will be drawn at 11 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 6.
