Passenger Flying Economy Shows What Happens When Friends Are in 1st Class

In a hilarious turn of events during a recent flight from Helsinki to Amsterdam, two friends sitting in first class stopped by to say hello to their travel companions in economy seats.

"The genuine happiness and excitement on their faces as they returned from the business class section made it a memorable moment worth recording," Anna Charpentier, 26, from Finland, told Newsweek.

When heading to Amsterdam to celebrate a special birthday, the group booked their tickets and were all in line for business class seats, but only two of the friends got lucky enough to get the first-class seats.

"Antti and Oliver, the ones shown in the video, purchased their tickets much earlier than me and Noora," said Charpentier. "By the time we booked our flights, they had already upgraded their seats."

Spread across different seats, one of the group is also a platinum customer of the airline, meaning the customers on the booking qualified for complimentary champagne during the flight.

But Charpentier and her friend back in economy got a delightful surprise when their business-class friends appeared with refreshments, including champagne, in tow.

"Antti and Oliver asked the flight attendant if they could deliver the drinks themselves, and they received approval," said Charpentier. "This situation prompted me to capture it on video. When we all reviewed the videos from our Amsterdam trip a few days later, we found this particular video to be especially hilarious."

After stumbling back on the hilarious moment, she shared the video on TikTok where it has since been viewed 6 million times, leaving viewers online in stitches.

"Awww, look at them helping the poor ,that's lovely," joked TikToker @stacyfromtheblock. While Simonebeee said the pair were like the: "Robin Hood of business class."

"This is the cutest," said Rachel B. "Where do I find friends like this."

Natasha agreed and said: "Those are what I call forever friends."

Since going viral, the group has been delighted by the smiles the video has brought to others' faces.

"My video going viral has been an exciting experience for me and my friends, although it has also been somewhat overwhelming," said Charpentier.

Above all, the friendship group has been filled with joy at the reaction to their video. "It's heartwarming to see how people have reacted so positively to our video," she said. "It has encouraged us to embrace the happiness and positivity that our friends brought to that moment, and we're grateful to have shared it with so many people."
