A charming TikTok video that pokes fun at the supposed "10 stages" that a toy poodle goes through after waking up has captured the hearts of viewers across the internet.
The social-media clip, posted on April 2 by Anna Kloots, put her 2-pound female poodle, Miette, front and center in a lighthearted insight into her typical morning routine. Kloots, who is an author and travel content creator based in Paris, has already amassed over 384,000 views for the video (@annakloots).
The clip, aptly titled "the 10 stages of waking up [as] demonstrated by my 2 lb poodle," captures the auburn-colored Miette engaging in a series of relatable morning behaviors alongside her owner.

Starting with stage one, where Miette pretends not to hear the alarm, each subsequent stage hilariously captures the very essence of a slow morning, or just the procrastinating that many do to achieve one.
From a "small stir" at stage two to considering the pros of getting up, like breakfast and a trip to the dog park at stage three, the video progresses to show Miette doing everything other than getting up and starting the day.
This includes stretching at stage eight, hitting snooze again at stage nine, before planting a morning kiss on her owner's nose as she is filmed licking her at stage 10.
The poodle certainly loves getting up late, and Kloot's humorous dig at this trait has prompted an outpouring of affection and amusement from her followers and other viewers alike.
The video not only captures the bond between Miette and her owner, but has also resonated with pet owners around the world whose pets have vastly different morning routines to the unrushed Miette's.
"Hmm my Yorkie wakes me up at 7 a.m. demanding breakfast. Then goes back to sleep while I'm now wide-awake," one user wrote.
