A social media video that captures how a dog owner "snuck" her pet cavapoo into a bar has impressed viewers online and left plenty in hysterics.
The viral video, which has been viewed more than 280,000 times since it was first shared to TikTok on January 5, showed how the dog's owner Sophia "dressed" the cavapoo up like an "old lady," complete with a knitted headscarf to try and get her past the English pub's "no dog's allowed" rule.
It's clear that the Folkestone public house lets dogs in, as the vast majority of English pubs do, and the video's creator clarifies this fact in the post's caption space. Despite what actually went down at the pub, thousands of TikTokers have let out a laugh at the comical social media post.
"When the pub says it's not dog friendly," the dog's owner, who goes by @sophiatheexplorer on the platform, shared in the post.
Viewers were then treated to a hilarious clip of the unassuming cavapoo named Lyla sitting politely, clad with one knitted scarf around her head and one around her body.
The post had been captioned: "Old Lady Lyla at the pub. P.S. she was allowed in the pub she just got a bit chilly so wrapped her in my poncho and pulled her snood over her head whilst the fire got going".
While the dog and her owner both live in the U.K and appear to be based in Greater London, Sophia frequently travels to other countries in her camper van. She regularly posts about her getaways to her TikTok account.
What Do the Comments Say?
Since it had been shared to the social media platform on January 5 by @sophiatheexplorer, the TikTok post has been liked by over 40,000 users and commented on more than 100 times. Plenty of TikTokers have voiced their amusement at the viral moment in the post's comments section.
"She needs some big sunglasses a la Audrey Hepburn," one user wrote.
Another user added: "Just a babushka".
"Designated driver," a third TikToker shared.
"It's giving Scooby Doo on the airplane," commented a different user.
