Nicki Minaj is set to release her first new music in 2022 with a collaboration with Lil Baby.

The pair highlighted the release date on their social media channels late on Wednesday night, and both posts got a huge reaction out of their fans. Minaj and Baby are known for their collaborations across music but this marks the first time they've worked together on a track.

When is "Do We Have a Problem?" released?

Both musicians simultaneously announced the release date of Minaj's new single "Do We Have a Problem?" Ft. Lil Baby.

Their collaboration went from the studio to social media as they launched the announcement on their social media channels at the same time for the announcement post.

The pair wrote: "DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM⁉️ BABY X BARBIE 🦄🎀🤞🏽 PINK FRIDAY 🔥 FEB 4 👅⬆️🤣"

Dissecting everything said by the pair in that brief statement, the first part is the song's new title. "Pink Friday" is the name of Minaj's debut album which she released in November 2010, and the last part of course implies that the song will be out on Friday February 4, 2022.

Minaj and Baby also released the same image alongside their caption, which featured the pair dressed in black in an interrogation room. Minaj is sprawled across the table while Baby stands next to her with both hands on the table.

Is "Do We Have a Problem" part of an album?

Both Minaj and Baby are keeping their fans waiting on an album announcement, and they might have to wait a little longer yet.

Minaj is the lead artist on "Do We Have a Problem" so it is likely to appear on whatever new album she releases, not Baby's.

There are rumors that the next album from Minaj could be a sequel to 2010's Pink Friday after she dropped a number of clues. In interviews she's mentioned since the release of Queen in 2018 that she's working on, and even finished her fifth studio album. The recent single announcement mentions Pink Friday and back in 2020 she cryptically tweeted "PF2" which could imply Pink Friday 2 is coming next.

In September 2021 she all but confirmed to her fans that she'd have an announcement for them in 2022 when she implied that her fans will get new music from her next year. She tweeted from the studio, "I was about to give yall way more than scraps but ykw. I'll talk to y'all next year."(sic)

Lil Baby's last album My Turn was released in February 2020 so his fans are also waiting to see what his next project will be.
