MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has suggested that the timing of a recent leak from the Supreme Court was meant to distract people from allegations of voter fraud during the 2020 election.
Lindell explained his opinion on Friday while speaking to a reporter from Right Side Broadcasting Network, speculating on the timing of Monday's leak. The leaked draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito showed the Court could possibly overturn Roe v. Wade, the decision that legalized abortion nationwide.
"All of a sudden, the news comes in, and it leaked out from the Supreme Court. What kind of timing is that? You follow me?" Lindell said, drawing a parallel between the timing of the leak and this week's release of the film 2,000 Mules, which alleges voter fraud in the 2020 election. "And so that gets the news rather than more and more evidence and more stuff piling on of what happened in the 2020 election. It's disgusting."

Lindell, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, has previously claimed that voter fraud took place during the 2020 election. He recently helped to file a lawsuit in Arizona aiming to prevent the state from utilizing machines to tabulate votes in upcoming elections in a move to deter hacking, although multiple audits and recounts in the state's most populous county—Maricopa—have reaffirmed Biden's win.
"I mean, they're trying to out market, you know, it's called 'election deflection,'" Lindell added in his comments on Friday, describing his take on the reason behind the Supreme Court leak.
On Tuesday, Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed that the document was, in fact, authentic but stated that it was not a final decision. He also ordered an investigation into how it was made public.
In addition to Lindell, Republican Senator Ted Cruz also has a theory on the leak of the draft opinion, which he expressed on his podcast, Verdict.
"I think it is very, very likely a law clerk. And it is very, very likely a law clerk for one of the three liberal justices," Cruz said. "If I were to guess, the most likely justice for whom the law clerk is clerking is Sonia Sotomayor because she's the most partisan of the justices."
Lindell is scheduled to be one of the guests at a rally in Pennsylvania on Friday evening to support Trump-endorsed Mehmet Oz, who is seeking the GOP nomination for a U.S. Senate seat representing the Keystone State.
