Did Anyone Win the $148 Mega Millions Jackpot on 12/14/2021? Numbers and Results

The results of the Mega Millions lottery game for December 14, offering a jackpot prize of $148 million, with a cash-value option of $107 million, were revealed on Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET.

The latest numbers drawn were 33, 35, 44, 55 and 69 for the white balls, while the Mega Ball was 20 and the Megaplier was 3x.

The latest drawing saw no winners of the top jackpot prize or the second prize, which is valued at $1 million. Had there been any winners of the second prize, their win would have been worth $3 million if they'd purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1.

There were 13 players who correctly matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball, winning them each $10,000. Two of them opted for the Megaplier, tripling their third prize to $30,000.

A group of 236 people matched four of the five white balls, but not the Mega Ball, each earning $500, with 53 of them each earning the Megaplier prize of $1,500.

There were 699 players who matched three white balls, each winning $200. A 155 of them purchased the Megaplier, raising each of their their prizes to $600.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Friday, December 17, at 11 p.m. ET, for a jackpot prize of $160 million, with a cash-value option of $115.7 million.

Last Friday's game also had no grand prize winner and no players matched the first five white balls, without guessing the Mega Ball, to earn the second prize of $1 million.

Seven ticket holders matched four of the five white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the third prize of $10,000. Two of those players purchased the Megaplier, raising each of their third prize wins to $20,000.

How to Play Mega Millions

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. Five white balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70, while one yellow Mega Ball is drawn from balls numbered 1 through 25. You win if the numbers on your lottery ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play. If no one wins the jackpot prize, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing.

Most states offer a Megaplier option, which costs an additional $1 per play and increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four or five times. Before each Mega Millions drawing on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Megaplier is drawn from a pool of 15 balls. Five of these balls are marked with 2X, six with 3X, three with 4X and one with 5X.

The odds of winning with a $2 Mega Millions ticket are one in 303 million. See the Mega Millions website for more information.
