Meet 'Upsetty Betty,' the Feline Dubbed Grumpy Cat's Successor

A cat with a particularly upset facial expression has left the internet in stitches, with some even dubbing her a "successor" of the famous Grumpy Cat.

Betty the cat has gained viral attention online after her picture was shared by the owner and Reddit user u/Caioly on the popular r/aww forum.

The caption said: "Betty is upsetty. Mommy does not adhere to Betty's bedtime. Betty hates waiting."

In the picture, the six-year-old cat who lives in Nuremberg, Germany is seen showing off a trademark frown.

Owner Caioly told Newsweek: "Betty looks grumpy most of the time. She has feline dwarfism and other genetic specialties that make her face look grumpy."

Online, people were quick to share their reactions to Betty's brilliant expressions. One commenter said: "That is a look of pure murderous rage."

Others likened the angry-looking feline to the famous Grumpy Cat who gained internet fame for her permanently grumpy expressions.

Betty's owners share pictures and updates of her "adorable grumps" online where people are obsessing over the feline.

Betty even has her own Subreddit called r/restingbettyface that is jam-packed with fun Betty moments.

In the most recent picture, Caioly explained how Betty was upset that her owner had missed bedtime: "I didn't go to bed at the time she assigned to me," she explained. "After I finally went to bed, she made extra-good biscuits to ensure that everything was fine. I think she forgave me."

Another commenter said that it "looks like she wants to speak to your manager."
