Owner Suspects Husky Trying to 'Get Rid of' Her to Have Dad All to Himself

Ever feel paranoid that your dog is upset with you? One woman was convinced that her pup is trying "get rid" of her in a viral video on TikTok.

The clip was shared by @levithehuskyrescue and has received over 139,000 views since it was posted on April 29. A voice in the video says: "I have recently become suspicious that my husky is trying to get rid of me so he can have his dad all to himself."

The footage shows a husky interacting with a man in different parts of a home. The woman is said to have been "berated" by the dog, who is later heard growling at her.

The pup's apparent attachment to his human dad is unsurprising as the unique relationship between adult dogs and their owners "bears a remarkable resemblance to an infant attachment bond," said a May 2013 study published in the journal PLOS One.

"Dogs are dependent on human care and their behavior seems specifically geared to engage their owners' care-giving system," according to the study.

'Berated' by My Dog

A message overlaid on the latest viral video reads: "Evidence my husky is trying to get rid of me."

The clip goes on to list three signs supporting this claim, with the first one being "he's [the dog] been especially sassy towards me, yelling at me even for the smallest grievances," the woman says in the video.

Loud vocalizations could be heard from the dog, who is shown looking up at the camera while growling is heard in the background.

Secondly, the woman says "I caught him digging a hole large enough to fit 5 foot, 5 [inches], 120 lb. millennial woman." The footage shows the husky digging through dirt on a patch on the side of the house. "But thankfully I was able to fill in the grave that he dug for me," she adds.

Thirdly, the woman says that her pup has "left hints that are about as subtle as his facial expressions to book a vacation." The canine is shown wearing glasses and staring at laptop screen while laying on a bed.

"And luckily for him, I will be booking this Virgin Voyage cruise to take a much-needed break from being berated by my 4 legged, fur covered correction PAWfficer," reads a message across the clip, which is noted to be a paid partnership post.

"But jokes on him, cuz dad's coming with me," the woman says. The dog is shown looking out the window as the couple are seen exiting the house with their suitcase, and the man waves goodbye to the pup before the clip ends.

A caption shared with the post reads: "He can yell at me about this over Facetime from our @Virgin Voyages cruise."

TikTok users were amused by the dog in the latest viral clip.

Hyper Piper The Pupper wrote, "oh you are in trouble!!! his revenge will be swift," and @sarahfischer3 added: "I don't know if I would come back cause your in huge trouble."

"The betrayal... don't worry, that 5'5" hole will return. enjoy your vacay," posted purpleppleater832.

Funnybunny commented, "The face at the window," while hehehe asked: "how can u leave that precious little baby."
