Husband Who Didn't Want Cat Now Does Sweetest Thing Every Night

Everyone who says they're not a cat person gets proven wrong as soon as a feline comes into their life. A man from Belfast has recently gone viral for doing the sweetest thing every night for the cat he didn't want.

In a post shared on TikTok on Sunday by the man's wife, under the username amandaforson, he can be seen tucking the cat into bed, making sure that the blanket is all tight and cozy around her.

A caption explains: "My husband doing his 'tuck in service' for the cat he didn't want." The poster also added: "She waits for him to do this."

Cats usually sleep anywhere between 12 and 18 hours a day, but as they grow older they may sleep even more. Unlike humans, though, they sleep in small intervals instead of getting their hours in all at once.

You've probably noticed your cat sleeping in different positions, and as you can imagine, they are often influenced by their state of mind. If your cat sleeps on their back it means that they feel safe and confident, according to PetMD.

When your cat is sleeping in a loaf shape, or in the Superman pose (lying on their belly with their paws stretched forward), they may be relaxed, but they're also ready for action.

If your cat sleeps on top of furniture or appliances, they're probably just trying to get the best panoramic view of the home to make sure they keep an eye on "potential prey," which in your home may be toys or other pets.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 2.6 million views and 510,600 likes on the platform.

One user, IEH, commented: "So funny how cats have [their] little routines—mine sits on my lap whenever [I'm] on the toilet don't know how it even started."

Joannelflaherty said: "I always talk about wanting to be a cat in my next life, and this is exactly what I'm talking about! No job, no bills, just a doting family."

Lilacs added: "Same, you don't want a cat till you have one. I went to an adoption agency looking for a dog and came back with my cat Mr snuggles."
