Hilarious Moment Golden Retriever Has to Be Carried Home After Running Away

A stubborn golden retriever left the internet in stitches when his owners had to carry him home after he ran away from them thinking it was fun.

In a post shared to TikTok last month by @christy.d15, two men can be seen holding the pup in their arms on their way home as he enjoys being carried down the street, proud of his antics.

The hilarious post, which was filmed in New York and quickly went viral on social media, comes with a caption that reads: "Thinks running away from us is so fun."

Newsweek reached out to @christy.d15 for comment via TikTok comments. We could not verify the details of the case.

Stubborn dogs can be hard to train, but there are a few strategies that may help you out. The first and most important, according to VetStreet in article published on its website, is to go slowly, and create a positive association with training by rewarding even minor successes.

Moreover, you should control the environment and make sure you choose a distraction-free place for your training, putting all toys and snacks away. If you're training your dog outside, you should always keep it on leash just in case.

It is also crucial that all members of the family are consistent with the training, making sure you're all rewarding the same behaviors in the same ways. Also as important is to avoid giving punishment, which dogs aren't able to understand and may only cause aggression.
