It's June, which means it's Pride Month—the most colorful time of the year. In celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride, people are flying the rainbow flag that symbolizes love and inclusion; festivities are afoot, from block parties to parades; and many are looking for the quintessential rainbow-colored dish to make for the next Pride-themed gathering on their calendars. If you're one of those people, read on for a few Pride-themed party food ideas below.
Rainbow Peanut Noodles
Have you ever seen such colorful pasta dish? The recipe incorporates shades of green, purple, red, orange and yellow vegetables for a rainbow-like effect. See the full recipe with photos HERE.
Rainbow Spring Rolls
If you're looking for something on the lighter side, and with an Asian twist, this might be a recipe for you. These spring rolls are billed to take all of 30 minutes to prepare and are filled with a colorful assortment of fruit, vegetables and fresh herbs.
Rainbow Pigs In A Blanket
This Pride party food is a Newsweek staff favorite. While any pigs in a blanket recipe would suffice for a non-Pride party, we think this rainbow one from HelloGiggles does a great job of paying homage to Pride Month (they're basically pigs wrapped in a rainbow blanket!)
Rainbow Chex Mix
What is the epitome of a party snack? Muddy Buddies, made with Chex Mix, are perfect for pride when you incorporate all of the colors of the rainbow.
Rainbow Skewers
This Sakara recipe is perhaps the most nourishing item listed here, given that Sakara is a meal delivery program based on a plant-rich diet. The fruity skewer recipe calls for watermelon, cherries, cantaloupe, pineapple and grapes as well as lemon, mint and ginger for a lemon-ginger drizzle.
Rainbow Popsicles
While June certainly marks Pride Month, it also signifies the beginning of summer. With temperatures heating up, you might be looking for a snack that cools in the summer heat... a snack like popsicles, with all of the colors of the rainbow, of course.
Rainbow Fudge
Fudge fans, this one's for you. Serve this rainbow fudge at a party or give it as a gift. See the full recipe with photos HERE.
Fruity Pebble Treats
With all of the colors of the rainbow in one box, and a four-step recipe on hand, this sweet treat is one of the easiest you could attempt to make. We found a recipe from Genius Kitchen with great reviews.
Rainbow Pinwheel Cookies
Traditionalists: Take a classic cookie to Pride level with this recipe. See the full recipe with photos HERE.
Rainbow Cake
This one by Betty Crocker has great reviews, but if you're looking to make something from scratch, you also might want to check out Food & Wine Magazine's recipe.
Rainbow Cake Roll
If you think standard cake is overdone, and you're interested in a different cake-making approach, this roll may be the way to go. See the full recipe with photos HERE.
No-Bake Trix Rainbow Bars
Trix may be for kids, but they're also a perfect ingredient for Pride-themed snacks. See the full recipe with photos HERE.
Rainbow Cheesecake Swirl Bars
The psychedelic design on this dessert is different from anything else we found in terms of sweet Pride treats. See the full recipe with photos HERE.
