'Handsomest' Cat Loves Checking Himself Out in the Mirror After Grooming

A social media video of a cat 'checking himself out' in the mirror after having his coat groomed by his owner's mom has left the internet in hysterics.

The viral video, which has been viewed by more than 2.4 million users since it was first shared to TikTok on February 23, captured the cat admiring his new 'hairdo' by closely examining his reflection in the mirror after his owner's mom had brushed him down.

"My cat has this routine where he makes my mum brush him, check himself in the mirror and then goes back for more," the cat's owner Sandy, who goes by @s.and.oval on the platform, said in the post.

Viewers watched as the cat's coat got brushed and smoothed by his owner's mom before he pranced off to a nearby mirror to assess the beauty routine's result.

The post had been captioned: "He's the most handsomest boy."

His owner had written in the comments section of the post, in response to a viewer, that the clever cat does this "every day".

While cats are known to be curious and intelligent companion animals, the cat's human-like behavior has stunned TikTokers and has prompted plenty of funny takes in the comments section of the post.

"He's saying his affirmations as he gets brushed," one user wrote.

Another user added: "He's so self aware."

A third TikToker joked: "Hmm, not quite.. continue".

Since it was shared on the social media platform on February 23 by @s.and.oval, the TikTok post has been liked by over 647,000 users and commented on more than 1,300 times. Hundreds of TikTokers have voiced their amusement at the viral moment in the comments section.

"What a distinguished gentleman," a third user shared.
