German Shepherd Has Best Reaction After Owner Gets Him His Own Pool

A social media video that captures a German Shepherd's sweet reaction to his owner getting an outdoor swimming pool for the family has melted hearts across the internet.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 3.3 million times since it was first shared to TikTok on February 18, captured the dog reacting with joy at his first sight of the outdoor pool that came complete with a flight of stairs.

The footage shows the dog gradually gaining confidence around the mysterious new object in his garden.

"Watch my German Shepherd realize that mom bought him a big pool to swim in," the dog's owner said in the post.

"You can tell he was a little unsure, but you could tell he was so excited when he saw the water."

"Realizes the big thing in the yard has water in it," the dog's owner added as owner's watched the German Shepherd, who is named Zeus, explore the pool by climbing up its flight of stairs.

"Still a little unsure."

"Watch him get so brave," they continued as Zeus was shown paddling inside the water.

The heartfelt moment played against Debussy's piece 'Claire de Lune.'

The post had been captioned: "The ending when he was shaking had my heart. But he absolutely loved it once he got brave!!"

The American Kennel Club (AKC) describes the breed as being "courageous and confident."

Since it had been shared to the social media platform on February 18 by @zeusandlunagsd, the TikTok post has been liked by over 214,000 users and commented on more than 990 times. Plenty of TikTokers have voiced their delight at the viral moment in the post's comments section.

"I love that he bites the water as he swims," one user wrote.

Another user added: "You're an angel here on earth for treating these beautiful animals so well!"

"I wonder if you could make an underwater platform so that he could have a shallow spot to rest in but still play in the water," a third user shared.

A different user wrote: "This made me cry because they were so mean to you about letting him swim and look how happy this made him."
