Attention Fallout fans: It's time to get your conspiracy hats on. Developer Bethesda Game Studios just posted a mysterious Tweet that seemingly alludes to a Fallout announcement coming soon.

All the tweet shows is the "Please Stand By" TV image seen in a number of different Fallout games, along with text that only reads "#PleaseStandBy." All we know for sure is this tease is Fallout-related, but what could it be for? Let's figure it out.
Two smart guesses are for remakes or ports. Bethesda has found success with Skyrim and DOOM ports on the Nintendo Switch, so it's possible a Fallout game will see the same fate. Fallout 4 is a bit more advanced than Skyrim, so it'll be interesting to see how much power Bethesda can summon from Nintendo's latest handheld/home console hybrid, or if any features might have to be scrapped.
It also wouldn't be surprising, in a world of remakes and remasters, to see a Fallout 3 remaster for PS4 and Xbox One. This kind of makes sense with the tweet, seeing as how the "Please Stand By" screen shows bits of color. Typically, these images are usually in black and white. The color could be a clue saying Bethesda is putting a new coat of paint on an old game.
While it's the least-likely possibility, this tease could also hint at a new game reveal coming at Bethesda's E3 showcase. Looking at the recent history of the Fallout franchise, Fallout 3 was followed by Fallout: New Vegas then Fallout 4 came next. This tease is likely not for Fallout 5, but it could point to a spin-off type game in the same way New Vegas was a spin-off of Fallout 3.
The good news about this tease is that Bethesda doesn't like to drag out release dates after a game has been revealed. It's possible whatever this tease is for, we could be playing it by the end of the year.
While this tease is very open-ended, we'll likely learn more at Bethesda's E3 Showcase on June 10. The Showcase can be streamed online via Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and the official Bethesda website.
