Dog Walker Rating How Pups Greet Her Melts Hearts: 'Should Be a Series'

A seasoned dog walker started filming how the pups greeted her as she entered their home, and the result has viewers demanding more.

Pet owners often hire others to help take care of their fur babies. That can include walking the dog while they're at work or having someone dog-sit while on vacation. Because of the increase in pet ownership during the pandemic, the need for these services has significantly increased. Over the past five years, the dog-walking industry's revenue grew about 1.2 percent and reached an estimated $1.3 billion in 2023, according to IBIS World.

Sarah, who has been a dog walker for the past three years, wanted to give followers a glimpse into this dream job, so she started filming and posting day-in-the-life videos to her TikTok account, @sarah_gator. One clip especially stood out to viewers.

The April 11 video showed Sarah entering the homes of her three clients to gather up the dogs and take them out. She decided to film and rank each reaction because each one was completely different. The idea quickly had an impact on viewers, with one suggesting the video "should be a series."

Two of the three dogs were thrilled to see her. But they weren't always excited from the get-go. As can sometimes happen with any pet, the dogs needed time to warm up to her.

"Once they started to realize I am a part of their life and keep showing up to let them out, they started to get really excited," Sarah said.

As seen in the video, Miller couldn't hold in his emotions, grabbing the closest toy available and showing it off to her. This was a sign that he was extremely happy she came over. Hazel even started barking excitedly before she opened the door. On the other hand, Remington wasn't too pleased she disturbed his peace.

"Some of the parents will argue that their dog is more excited to see me than them," she said.

As of Thursday, the TikTok video had over 822,600 views, 48,800 likes and 84 comments. Viewers flooded the comments section with their opinions on her ratings.

"Remington was napping and you disturbed him," said one TikTok user, while another wrote: "Remington was NOT having it.

A second added: "Miller gets 1000/10. Are you kidding? He brought you a gift."
