Cheryl Hines' 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Message Goes Viral After Finale

Curb Your Enthusiasm star and wife of presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cheryl Hines, has spoken out after the HBO sitcom ended.

The 58-year-old appeared opposite Seinfeld creator Larry David as his character's long-suffering wife, and later his ex.

The show aired its final episode after 12 seasons on Sunday to rave reviews, with Empire film magazine calling it "an all-timer in the TV comedy hall of fame."

Hines took to her social media to share a montage of images from over the years, including behind-the-scenes photos and images of the cast at awards shows such as the Golden Globes. "I love you all," Hines captioned the post on Instagram.

She shared the same post to X, formerly Twitter, and it went viral with more than 124,000 views in fewer than 10 hours.

Curb Your Enthusiasm concluded its first run of shows in 2011 and kicked off again six years later, totaling 120 episodes.

The comedy followed an exaggerated version of David, a Hollywood writer who, in the finale, was on trial for breaking Georgia's election laws— he was arrested for offering a woman a glass of water as she was standing in line waiting to vote, which is a real law in the southern state. The final episode was set in a court room where characters that had appeared on the show over the years came back to give testimony in the jury trial.

Other celebrities to appear in the finale included Greg Kinnear, Allison Janney, Ted Danson, and finally the highly anticipated cameo of Jerry Seinfeld himself.

The premise of the finale was similar to that of the divisive last episode of Seinfeld, where the main four characters faced trial for being bad Samaritans and were eventually jailed for a year.

In the Curb finale, Seinfeld managed to save David from a conviction after discovering one of the jurors had broken the judge's sequestration order, leading to a mistrial and David's freedom.

Hines has come under fire recently for supporting her husband's presidential bid as an independent candidate. He has been mocked for his anti-vaccine conspiracy theories.

At a campaign rally on October 9 in Philadelphia, Hines described Kennedy Jr. as someone who "stood up for the little guy, for the average person who is just trying to make a living."

However, people took to X to slam Hines' speech. "The worst acting she's ever done," wrote Jo.

"I'm embarrassed for her," posted @victoriaacas.

"I used to really like her, but this is pretty, pretty, pretty, bad," commented Salty Michael.
