We can all turn hangry from time to time—even cats. The term refers to the feeling of anger or irritation that can result from hunger.
One cat has shown off what he tends to do when feeling hangry, which his owner recently captured in a social media video. The clip has since been viewed more than 340,000 times and has left the Internet in hysterics.
The viral video, which was shared to TikTok on January 27, filmed Leo the cat's melancholic stroll to and faint in the kitchen, which his owner shared in the post is a regular stunt he pulls when feeling hungry.
"Whenever he is hungry, he walks to the kitchen and faints," Leo's owner shared in the post. The owner added in the post's comments section that "Leo generally flops everywhere."
Viewers were then treated to a clip of the ginger cat walking over to the kitchen before dramatically staging a fainting display. The post is captioned: "He's wasting away. Or so he says."
What Do the Comments Say?
Since it was shared on the social media platform by @leothezotcat, the TikTok post has been liked by over 44,000 users and commented on more than 90 times.
TikTok users have voiced their amusement at the viral moment in the post's comments section. Some cat owners have shared that they found themselves relating to Leo's owner.
"My orange girl almost never lays down 'normally'. she just flops like this," one user wrote.
Another user said: "My cat does exactly the same thing we go '3,2,1' and he's down."
"Hahahaha, I sometimes say 'oh no! Call an ambulance!' And make an ambulance noise so he expects that too now," Leo's owner responded.
"drama queen," a third user shared.
A fourth TikTok user commented: "So tired of asking food that he has to lay down."
"Yep, I know this one. Mine throws himself down stairs for attention too," said a user while another quipped: "My Charlie does this. So weak from hunger that he can't stand anymore."
