A cat owner has shared a festive game they play at their house with thousands of delighted internet users this week.
Reddit user u/bunzarelli shared pictures of their Christmas tree in a festive "spot the cat" game with users on the forum r/aww.
They asked: "Can you find her in each photo?"
In these six pictures, the kitten is hiding within the Christmas tree decorations and people delighted in finding where the cat, named Squilly, was hiding.
"Ok, best game I've played in a while," said one commenter, while another wrote: "This made my day! What a great game."
"This is actually fun," said another reply. "You could put these in a book."
"We adopted her in February so this is her first holiday with us," u/bunzarelli told Newsweek. "She got in the tree exactly one second after I finished stringing the lights. I didn't even have a chance to hang ornaments before she was in the tree. Then I decided to only hang my soft ornaments this year."
After days of Squilly finding her way into the tree, her owners have started playing the game of guessing where she might be, and now it's stumping people online too.
"Super cute! A nice distraction while I was on my lunch break," said one commenter, while another said: "Literally gasped 'aw!' When I spotted her."
Others were amazed that the cat could be trusted around the Christmas tree. One commenter said: "She must be gentle with your tree. Our 10 month old cat has obliterated ornaments, light strings, and knocked off piles of pine needles."
"So far she hasn't damaged the tree," said u/bunzarelli. "Just knocked ornaments off it."
If you're looking to keep your feline friend away from the Christmas tree this season, PETA have a few tips.
"Most cats hate foil and citrus scents," they suggest. "So wrap your tree trunk in foil and place a few lemon and orange peels around the base."
Other ideas to keep Christmas incident-free while cats are around include keeping your tree away from "launching zones" like couches or other furniture that can help your cat pounce.
It is also wise to place ornaments up high or toward the center where it is harder for your cat to get hold of them. Be sure to take care with lights too and keep wires well organized so cats aren't tempted to chew on them.
"I play a daily game of trying to spot her myself, so I thought Reddit might enjoy joining me," said the cat's owner. "I'm just happy to see people enjoy trying to spot her."
If you're still stumped trying to find Squilly don't despair, we've put together a key of answers to put you out of your misery.
