Cat Comes Out During Owner's Houseparty, Instantly Steals The Show

While they may usually be aloof, some cats like to be the center of attention. One cat, who lives in New York City, has won hearts online after showing off his golden personality in a video that saw him steal the show at his sitter's house party.

Tang the cat was spotted in a video posted to TikTok by his owner's friend, Leslie Xin.

The video shows Xin and their friends in New York serenading the cat after he bizarrely appears midway through their house party to sit on top of a small unboxed Amazon parcel.

Xin's friends, sitting in a large circle while chatting and joking, begin to sing in unison to Tang who appeared to be loving the sudden burst of attention.

"He's so brave, he's well-behaved. He is not afraid," the group could be heard singing over the video.

Viewers watched as Tang placed himself in the center of the squad, ears twitching attentively at every word in the song.

"Our friends and I were hosting a recurring Sunday night get-together that we do called 'Soup Sundays' where we all gather together," Xin told Newsweek.

"Our friend Queenie makes a different soup for us each week."

"Queenie was cat-sitting Tang for Colin and I captured the short video during the evening," she said.

Xin said the group had been recreating an internet trend started by user @macrosbymel.
