Rome Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and members of her cabinet attend a debate ahead of a confidence vote on her new government on October 26. Meloni became the nation’s first female prime minister, after her party, the Brothers of Italy, won the most votes in the Sep 25, 2022 election. That victory also marks the first time a far-right government has led the country since the fall of fascism during World War II.
