Catania, Italy: Mount Etna, on February 24, erupts for the sixth time in eight days. The lava plume rose almost a mile above the top of the mountain, but local officials said there was no risk to the population of Catania. The eruption, apparently, is business as usual for the 11,000-foot volcano.
